Has anyone tried camo wrapping their gun with vinyl material like this...

www.camo4u.com

if so, how well has it held up?

I did. It was a nightmare to apply. Nothing matched up. I'm sure if you did it about 9000 times you'd be awesome at applying it. It did come off great and left no residue. It wasn't this brand specifically. If I were to do it again I'd have a company dip my gun or go the duracoat route. I have duracoated a couple choke tubes. Waiting for my xtrema wetlands camo to fade out completely. Then it will get a duracoat treatment as well.

I appreciate the feedback - we went with these pre-cut camo wraps instead...

Its not the kit you were asking about, but I've wrapped 4 of my guns with the kits from Mossy Oak Graphics.

My thinking was at less than 50 bucks for the kit, I could wrap a gun 5 times for the price to have it dipped, minus the shipping and all those headaches. I was only getting maybe 4 years out of a dip job, so if a kit got me a season before it needed to be reapplied, I was ahead.

Bottom line, I wrapped my turkey gun 3 seasons ago and still don't need to redo it. Anyone who knows me knows that I hunt turkeys HARD and don't baby my equipment, so I'm very pleased with it. Pleased enough that I won't ever pay to have another gun dipped, and I've started wrapping all my guns that need it.

I thought the kit went on extremely easy and fit great. There's a youtube video on their website that explains the application process very well, and total time wasn't 30 minutes.

Yes I think that is the same stuff as what I got from Camo4u. Mossy Oak graphics only sells Mossy oak patterns. I am particular to the realtree patterns and lost camo...
